  • How He Loves

This is a powerful song, we sang it at Best 8 Days, we've also sung it at The Post at Southeast, but the point is... it's a good song... powerful lyrics that speak Truth into my soul and I hope it does the same for you:

How He Loves by John Mark Mcmillan
    He is jealous for me,
Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
    When all of a sudden,
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realise just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.

And oh, how He loves us so,
    Oh how He loves us,
    How He loves us all

We are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes,
If grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking.
So Heaven meets earth like a sloppy wet kiss,
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest,
I don’t have time to maintain these regrets,
When I think about, the way…

    Yeah, He loves us,
    Whoa! how He loves us,
    Whoa! how He loves us,
    Whoa! how He loves.
    Yeah, He loves us,
    Whoa! how He loves us,
    Whoa! how He loves us,
    Whoa! how He loves.

i like the lyrics alone better than the version you posted. that's just the critic in me. i'm sure it's better in a worship atmosphere. you know me. i don't like to just have worship music on in the background for "easy listening" while i'm doing other things. i'd rather it be live and i be in the moment with the music. i guess that's how i can best describe it. i heard a great song on remedy.fm the other day. i should have written the girl's name down. i can't even remember the name of the song now.
